Departure Time 12:15pm
Departure Location Koh Samui, Thailand
Arrival Time 4:58pm
Arrival Location Krabi, Thailand
Distance Travelled 251km plus 26km Ferry Crossing plus 52km ride to Shopping Mall (Total 329km)

We got up late, had a swim, and then packed to leave.  We decided not to rush, and just catch a later ferry.  We arrived just minutes before loading started.

The ferry crossing was very scenic.  There are so many smaller islands, and lots of other ferries passing by.  It was also a great way of seeing some of the resorts from the sea.

Once we disembarked, we stepped up the pace in order to get to Krabi quickly.  A storm was brewing in the distance, but we turned south just as it started to rain.  We were therefore spared getting soaked.  The road was perfect, almost completely straight for most of the way.  In fact, one 50km section was completely straight, and it was easy to sit on 140km/h.  Once we got near Krabi, the scenery was the most stunning – with lots of limestone hills all around.

After checking in, I went for a ride to a new shopping center that opened – this gave Rebecca a chance to unwind and get herself organised.  Once I returned we walked a few hundred meters to an outdoor food court and had a great selection of local delicacies.
