Day12 Krabi, Thailand

11:59 pm Motorbike/Motorcycle, Thailand, Travel

This day was unique, as it was the first day that we didn’t use the bike at all.  We just walked everywhere.

After sleeping in, we had breakfast at the "resort" (more like a good backpackers).  We then went for a walk on the beach to admire the hive of activity on the water – lots of boat tours to the surrounding islands and beaches.

Rebecca was particularly interested in the lantana plants growing in the main street, as this is a real pest in Australia.

These massage huts lined one of the beaches.  There were over 20 rows of huts!

The monkeys were another delight!  They were very tame and so playful.

We then climbed high over a hillside to get to another "hidden" beach – one that is only accessible by this track or by the sea.  Stunning scenery!

Here is a large live shell that we found, as well as a picture of the jetty – notice how it moves with each wave coming in?

And more monkey photos from our return walk.

This monkey was on dog duty.  It was watching the dog fiercely, and once even attacked it from behind when the dog got too close to the other little monkeys.

The fire exit next to our room was funny – it was at least a 3 meter drip down.

In the afternoon the boats were all coming back in one by one – it was a pleasure to watch.

And a couple of photos taking in the evening after we finished our dinner.  Surely the rider of this bike can see at night.
