Day18

We headed down to the SDA Language School early in the morning, as Sunday is a busy day for language schools.  The school has a great team of volunteers now.  Max has done a great job attracting superb talent.  The future looks very rosy for the school.  Now if only Max could stop taking self portraits.

This is how we travel.  We left about 11:20am and headed up to Muak Lek, where the Adventist College for South East Asia is located.  As we were leaving the downtown area, there was a huge police presence and some of the roads were closed.  So there was a huge traffic jam, and then we saw lots of defense staff lining the sides of the road.  We think that the king or some other VIP was coming past there.  In Bangkok they just close the roads when the king comes along.

Ever seen an ATM machine squeezed into a such a tiny gap?  Compare the width of the telephone box to the gap you have to squeeze into to use the ATM machine.

It is sunflower season in Thailand.

Rebecca and I then spent about 1.5 hours with Dr Pak Lee, the Dean of the Business School at Mission College.  This was very insightful, especially because Dr Lee was the previous dean at Pacific Adventist University in Papua New Guinea.  Mission College is doing really well.

We spent the night in Saraburi.  A wedding was being held at the hotel where we stayed.
